Military Fabric Buildings
Because our fabric structures are customizable and require very short lead times, they are ideal to be utilized in MILCON. Legacy Building Solutions® is a specialist in creating military fabric buildings which can be used as large area maintenance shelters (LAMS), airplane hangars, MRO facilities, TechOps buildings, repair facilities for wheeled vehicles and fitness shelters.
Our team assembles and installs military shelters twice as fast as traditional models are built. The highly experienced and capable Legacy Building Solutions team is quickly deployed for construction, or a tech rep is immediately sent onsite to help staff in building and maintenance. Once installed, maintenance will only be done occasionally, from the ground, and without special tools.

Fabric Covered Buildings/Military Shelters
Although fabric buildings are made to be permanent structures, they can be relocated to another military site, expanded or reduced should you require it. The fabric used is lightweight, and can be easily rolled up and shipped at a fraction of the cost it takes to ship heavy steel panels. Aside from being lightweight, the construction materials used ensure that there are no protrusions that will let in moisture that will consequently cause corrosion.
Our military shelters use rigid steel frames clad with fabric in order to allow wide portal frames and free span designs that can be up to 100 meters wide and virtually any length. The dimensions of the structures are customizable, so each building we design and build is distinct and unique. Roof pitches can also be of any angle to ensure that you get as much interior clearance as you need while still following code requirements for maximum height.
Customization allows you to maximize the use and functionality of your fabric military building. With flexible design, you may opt to add features such as active or passive ventilation, airtight envelopes for environmental control, or even choose from a variety of doors including bottom-rolling doors, bi-fold doors, sliding doors or multiple personnel doors.
You may also opt to include hanging doors into the structure, as well as wet or dry fire suppression systems, lighting, smoke curtains and HVAC systems. Customize the build of your temporary shelters.
Fabric buildings for military use can be installed on any new or existing surfaces, such as concrete, asphalt or soil. They can also be assembled on different kinds of foundations, including screw piles, helical, cast-in-place, earth anchors, micropile/minipile, or precast concrete. This is because the fabric is so lightweight, it leaves a much smaller footprint compared to a traditional building of the same size.
Our fabric military buildings are guaranteed not to corrode, no matter what type of environment it is built in or what it is used for. While fabric is naturally non-corrosive, its solid steel frame may be hot dip galvanized or lined with fabric to further protect the structure from rusting or corroding. Unlike other fabric structure manufacturers that rely on open web trusses to support their buildings, we only use steel that has proven to remain strong and durable as time progresses.
